UBC Carpenters is seeking qualified Carpenters for upcoming maintenance work at SaskPower’s Boundary Dam Power Station.
This opportunity offers extended shifts, day and night shift options, and a daily LOA for eligible workers.
Position Details
- Agreement: Carpenters Maintenance Agreement
- Journeyperson Rate: $46.81/hour
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Schedule: 6–7 days of work, 12-hour shifts
- Shifts: Day and night shifts available
- Travel: Required
- LOA: $170/day
- Transportation: Workers must have their own transportation to site
LOA Requirements
To qualify for LOA, workers must provide two pieces of proof of residence, such as:
- Income Tax documentation
- Property Tax documentation
- Utility bill
Cable and cell phone bills are not accepted as proof of residence.
Required Training & Documentation
Successful applicants must have or provide:
- Rights & Responsibilities
- Fall Protection — provided upon acceptance by the contractor
- Confined Space
- SCOT/CSTS
- Pre-access drug & alcohol testing
- Direct deposit information
- Own transportation to and from the site
