The North Shore Winter Club is looking for a dynamic Academy Director to lead the Warriors Hockey Academy. Reporting to the NSWC General Manager, this role provides leadership across hockey programming, school partnerships, staff development, recruitment, family engagement, financial performance, and day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the strategic direction of the Academy, aligning hockey development, academics, enrollment, and financial sustainability.
- Oversee coaching philosophy, player development, evaluations, programming, and Academy standards.
- Build strong relationships with families, student-athletes, coaches, schools, and hockey partners.
- Recruit, mentor, supervise, and support coaches and Academy staff.
- Manage operations including scheduling, staffing, budgets, facilities, registration, compliance, and program logistics.
- Support recruitment, retention, marketing, and growth opportunities for the Academy.

What You Bring:
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively, build strong relationships, and foster a respectful, high-performing team culture across the Academy, Hockey department, and Club.
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in hockey operations, sport administration, education, athlete development, or a related high-performance environment.
- Strong understanding of elite hockey development, coaching standards, Safe Sport, and hockey governance.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, build relationships, and communicate effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Education, Business Administration, Kinesiology, or a related field preferred.
- Hockey Canada coaching certification, Respect in Sport, Safe Sport, or related credentials considered assets.

Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
