Job Overview
A busy chiropractic and acupuncture clinic at Yonge/Eglinton is seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will have a passion for helping clients recover from injury, achieve relaxation and relief from tension through therapeutic massage techniques. Good communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service will be assets.
Remuneration will be a percentage of billing fees. Please enquire.
All linens and massage cream, and laundry services are provided by the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ needs and preferences prior to each session.
- Perform various types of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massages.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for ongoing care.
- Document client progress and any relevant medical history to tailor treatments effectively.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to create comprehensive care plans for clients.
- Uphold professionalism in all interactions with clients, ensuring a welcoming and relaxing environment.
- Be punctual and reliable, even with a flexible schedule.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist is preferred, though recent graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology is an asset
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Previous customer service experience is helpful, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with patients.
