Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our industrial maintenance team. We are primarily looking for a heavy duty trailer mechanic to help maintain our fleet. Mechanic must have their trailer CVIP license. We currently have 3 other full time mechanics and 2 part time. We have a few hundred trailers that we need to maintain and CVIP.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery and equipment.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Low Voltage systems for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or in industrial maintenance within manufacturing settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including low voltage systems.
- Ability to weld is a bonus but we can help train
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Relevant certifications or technical training related to industrial maintenance are preferred.
Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
