Overview
The handyman must be able to work independently, take pride in his work and have the drive to serve his residents well. A handyman is knowledgeable in a variety of techniques for fixing many parts of the facility inside and out. This is a hands on position and all must have proven work experience in these areas. Has an eye for assessing a problem quickly and determining the most efficient way to solve it.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and work effectively with General Manager.
- Comfortable working with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry, appliance and other general and preventative maintenance repairs.
- Provides prompt and courteous responses to all tenants requests in the handyman book, located at Reception desk.
- Make available apartments ready for move-in.
- General grounds upkeep as well as taking garbage and recycling bins in and out.
Requirements:
- Previous experience is required to work in this position.
- Must be able to keep up with the physical demands of the job. Ability to work independently.
- Must be reliable and to the schedule provided.
- Fluency in both French and English is preferred.
- Reports to the General Manager
