Axcess Talent Management Solutions is recruiting a Quality Control Inspector for a permanent, full-time opportunity with a manufacturing company located in Southeast Calgary.
Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift: Exact hours will be shared during the hiring process. Multiple positions and multiple shifts avaliable.
Position Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications. This role works closely with assembly, manufacturing, and shipping/receiving teams to identify quality concerns and support corrective action.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and materials before inspections.
- Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Complete first article inspections for product runs.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product quality and dimensional requirements.
- Create non-conformance reports for parts that do not meet specifications.
- Identify, label, and segregate non-conforming parts.
- Help maintain the non-conformance area and ensure parts are properly identified.
- Identify measurement tools requiring calibration and perform calibration where required.
- Maintain inspection-related records, emails, printing, and photocopying.
- Monitor and identify needs for inspection consumables and supplies.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, part drawings, and GD&T.
- Experience using hand inspection tools, including micrometers and calipers.
- Experience with specialized measuring equipment is considered an asset, including:
- Surface finish gauges
- Wall thickness gauges
- Coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
