CNC Machine Operator

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Concord, ON. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring computer numerical control (CNC) machinery (such as mills, lathes, or routers) to manufacture precision metal, wood, or plastic components according to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Load raw materials into CNC machines and execute programmed job sequences safely and efficiently.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job travel sheets to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
Setup & Adjustments: Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and fixtures; adjust machine speeds and feeds as necessary.
Quality Inspection: Perform first-off and mid-run quality inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
Troubleshooting: Monitor machines during operation for abnormal sounds or movements, replacing worn tools or making minor offsetting adjustments.
Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine daily maintenance/cleaning on equipment and strictly follow all health and safety guidelines on the shop floor.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines (Mills, Lathes, or Routers) in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Ability to read G-code/M-code and interpret engineering blueprints.
Measurement Tools: Proficiency with micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate/diploma in Machining or Precision Metalworking is considered an asset.
Physical & Soft Skills: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long durations, and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
