Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes that delight our customers. Duties
- Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods according to customer specifications or design templates
- Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and decorative elements using various food preparation techniques
- Ensure all decorating work meets quality standards and presentation expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with baking and food preparation as needed to support production schedules
- Package finished products securely for delivery or customer pickup
- Interact with customers to discuss design ideas and provide personalized service
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Requirements
- Proven experience in cake decorating, with a strong portfolio showcasing artistic skills
- Prior experience in restaurant or bakery environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and cooking techniques within the food industry
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic kitchen experience including food handling, packaging, and general cleanliness practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
