Job Overview
We are hiring Owner-Operators with their own MINIVANS or CARGO VANS only! ( Please note: this is not an employee posting)
The driver's pay is 80% of the total invoice. The price range is shown below for clarity.
In town, pay is per $2.20 PACKAGE.
Out-of-Town routes: pay is per $3.75 PKG (use as a base).
There are extra fees paid out on oversized and overweight items.
Rates are determined by density and postal code.
Delivery Area: Ottawa/Gatineau area (no routes or locations are guaranteed)
Pembrook, Hawkesbury, Perth, Cornwall, Kanata, and Surrounding.
Payout: Bi-weekly bank transfer (no tax deducted).
Requirements: Phone with internet data Plan, Safety shoes and a vest to load your vehicle.
Duties
- Load and unload freight.
- Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments before departure
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to meet delivery schedules
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain professional communication with dispatchers, clients, and team members throughout the delivery process
- Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during transportation activities
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are essential for success in this role
This position requires a dedicated individual committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service. Candidates with relevant experience in freight handling.
