Stage West Express is seeking an experienced dispatcher to join our team. Responsibilities include sourcing, accurately receiving and assigning freight loads. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years experience working in the transportation industry working in a fast paced dispatch environment. This individual will also be responsible for customer and driver relations, and ensuring that safety regulations are always a priority.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
- Plan and dispatch loads and schedule pick-up and deliveries
- Create quotes and negotiate rates with customers
- Create new, and maintain existing, relationships with customers
- Ensure that orders are correctly entered, customer information is accurate and ACE transmissions are completed
- Answer satellite, 2-way radio and telephone promptly
- Meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Experience Inbound Freight Sourcing and Planning
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be familiar with Load Link
- Good customer relation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to think quickly under pressure and multi-task
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Knowledge of LTL and full loads
- Hours of Service knowledge
- Experience with Southwest USA is a bonus
