Job Description
Spectrum Safety Services is growing, and we are looking for Full-Time First Aid Instructors to join our Edmonton training team.
We deliver a busy schedule of First Aid, CPR, and Safety courses at our Edmonton training facility, as well as on-site training for workplace and community clients throughout the Edmonton area.
We are looking for experienced, confident instructors who are comfortable leading a classroom, engaging learners, and teaching practical, hands-on skills.
For instructors interested in expanding their skills, there are also opportunities to receive additional training for facilitation of courses in our multi course classroom.
The Role
As a Full-Time First Aid Instructor, you will deliver practical, hands-on training in the following courses:
- CPR
- Basic First Aid
- Intermediate First Aid
- Child Care Intermediate First Aid
- Babysitting
Spectrum provides instructor onboarding, course-specific training, train-the-trainer support, and ongoing guidance on our programs, systems, and delivery standards.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging, hands-on First Aid and CPR training
- Lead classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, skill practice and evaluation
- Coach learners and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Create a welcoming, organized, and professional learning environment
- Adapt your teaching approach to different learners and experience levels
- Ensure all required course documentation is complete and accurate
- Prepare and maintain training rooms, equipment, and course materials
- Follow Spectrum course standards, processes, and quality expectations
- Participate in additional instructor training and professional development
- Support the day-to-day delivery of Spectrum’s training programs
What You Bring
Required
- Previous teaching, training, facilitation, or classroom leadership experience
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
- Confidence leading groups and coaching learners through practical skills
- Ability to create an engaging, professional, and supportive learning environment
- Strong organization, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record check
Assets
- Previous experience teaching First Aid and CPR courses
- Healthcare or related professional experience
- Additional safety instructor certifications or training credentials
