Position: Winter Warming Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QA/QC) Field Representative
Job Type: Part-time casual
Duration: Approximately 3 - 4 QA/QC residential checks per month (Approx 1 - 2 days per month)

Role:
The Winter Warming Program is an official efficiencyPEI program that provides free energy-efficiency products to residents throughout the province. Some of the products include LED lighting, low-flow showerheads, smart thermostats, window and door air draft proofing
This is a great opportunity if you're looking for casual, part-time work and enjoy meeting new people. You'll travel around PEI to connect with program participants in their homes, carrying out quick quality checks and logging details on your phone or tablet. Visits are pre-scheduled, with just a few per month, each lasting about 30–45 minutes. You'll interact with customers in a friendly, professional way and stay connected with the Program Manager if anything urgent comes up, all while putting your driving skills (and valid G license) to good use.
Responsibilities
- Travelling to various locations across PEI (valid G driver’s license required and access to a reliable vehicle)
- Conducting in-home visits with past program participants
- Completing QA/QC inspections and data entry using a tablet or smartphone
- Communicating professionally with customers during visits
- Managing a flexible schedule of approximately 3–4 visits per month, or 2.5% of completed installs per month
- Each visit typically lasts 30–45 minutes
- Coordinating with the Summerhill Connect Program Manager on any urgent or escalated matters
Qualifications
- The successful candidate must possess a professional demeanour
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for working within the energy and environment sector
- Must be smartphone/tablet literate
- Technical knowledge of lighting and thermostats is considered an asset but not required, as this will be taught
- Geographical knowledge of Prince Edward Island is considered an asset
- Hold a valid driver's license with access to your own vehicle.
- The successful candidate must complete a driver’s abstract and criminal background check
- Experience with or knowledge of energy-saving measures or the ability to identify them is considered an asset.
