Position Summary
The Final Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting completed rings and jewelry products to ensure they meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. This role requires a strong eye for detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to identify imperfections while working closely with production and finishing teams to maintain consistent quality.
The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, jewelry production, or a similar precision-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed final inspections of finished rings and jewelry products before shipment
- Verify products meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements
- Inspect for cosmetic, dimensional, and workmanship defects including:
- Scratches, dents, surface imperfections, and polishing issues
- Incorrect sizing or measurements
- Stone setting concerns or alignment issues
- Finishing, plating, colour, or texture inconsistencies
- Assembly or manufacturing defects
- Review work orders, specifications, and production notes to confirm accuracy
- Use inspection tools such as magnifiers, gauges, calipers, and measuring equipment as required
- Ensure all products are properly completed, cleaned, and presentation-ready
- Document inspection results and communicate quality concerns to appropriate departments
- Identify recurring defects and provide feedback to production teams
- Work with Production, Finishing, and Quality teams on corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Maintain organized records of inspections, rework, and quality issues
- Support ongoing improvements to quality processes and standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in Quality Control, inspection, manufacturing, or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail with excellent visual inspection abilities
- Ability to identify defects and determine acceptable quality standards
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to read and understand work orders, measurements, and product specifications
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with production teams
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for quality records and reporting
· Experience in ring manufacturing, jewelry, metalworking, or precision manufacturing· Knowledge of precious metals, polishing, finishing, stone setting, engraving, or assembly processes· Experience using inspection tools and measurement equipment· Experience with quality systems, corrective actions, and process improvement
