We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and reliable Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice. This position offers a minimum of 3 working days per week, with the opportunity for additional days as our practice continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing.
- Take dental radiographs and perform digital intraoral scans.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and document clinical findings.
- Administer local anesthesia in accordance with provincial regulations and scope of practice.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and individualized home-care recommendations.
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate closely with dentists and the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Support a welcoming, positive, and patient-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professions.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and preventive oral health practices.
- Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and procedures is an asset.
- Previous experience in a dental office or dental assisting role is considered an advantage.
- Experience using Cleardent or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
