Prodigy Personnel is currently seeking part time and full time Garbage Pitchers for our client located in Brantford, ON. Successful candidates must be willing to do outdoor general labour and lifting up to 60 lbs repetitively. This outdoor position is on-call, part time that could become full time on a day shift Monday to Friday as per the client's request.
You will be responsible for safely riding on the back of the garbage truck and collecting yard waste along with residential waste from the curb-side. No experience required; we will provide full training!
Responsibility will be to collect garbage from designated bins and dump it into the garbage truck. This role involves working in outdoor conditions.
- Collect garbage from residential and commercial bins following assigned routes.
- Safely load and unload garbage containers onto the garbage truck.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis.
- Lifting up to 60lbs
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Report any issues or concerns related to collection routes, equipment, or safety hazards.
Equipment required: Safety boots and long working pants
Shift: Days
Timing: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM ( IT CAN BE EXTENDED AS WELL )
Pay rate: $19.55 an hour
Bus: No - but transportation is available (****they will pick you up at your house if you live in Brantford!***)
