Position Summary
We are hiring 2 Installation Carpenters to join our installation and custom sauna teams. In this role, you’ll work outdoors, traveling to client sites across Nova Scotia to install our signature prefab saunas. You’ll also help with custom saunas builds in our indoor workshop. This is a great opportunity for experienced carpenters with hands-on building experience.
You’ll receive on the job training, hands-on mentorship, and support from experienced team members. We take pride in maintaining a safe, respectful, and growth-oriented work environment.
Key Responsibilities - Installations
- Install prefabricated saunas (barrel, cabin saunas, and accessories) at client sites
- Load/unload materials and prepare job sites
- Operate hand and power tools
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and team to meet deadlines
- Represent Folklore Sauna professionally with clients
- Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE on-site
Key Responsibilities - Shop
- Assist in the production of custom sauna builds in-shop
- Operate woodworking tools including mitre saws, table saws, and moulder
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines and maintain build quality
- Follow all workshop safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications
- Carpentry experience
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Eye for detail, finish work experience
- Ability to accurately measure and cut wood materials
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Safety-first mindset
- Willingness to learn and take direction
Role Details
- Location: Travel to client sites in Nova Scotia and workshop in Middle Sackville
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (overtime may be required)
- Wage: $21–$25/hour, depending on experience
