Job Overview
We are a wholesale consumer goods company seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to own our day-to-day accounting operations end to end. This is a hands-on role covering the full cycle — accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting — for someone who is comfortable being the go-to person for anything involving money. We need a seasoned professional who can work independently and keep our books review-ready.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable: Enter and process all vendor bills accurately and on schedule.
- Accounts Receivable: Issue all customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, send payment reminders, and follow up to collect on overdue accounts.
- Payroll & Commissions: Run payroll on schedule and calculate and pay sales rep commissions.
- Foreign Exchange: Handle multi-currency transactions and forex entries.
- Credit Memos & Adjustments: Prepare and enter credit memos and other account adjustments.
- Reconciliations: Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute sales, inventory, and other financial reports as needed.
- Books & Compliance: Maintain accurate books and prepare financial records for external Review and Engagement work with our accountants.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial transactions and money-related matters.
Requirements
- • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise
- Bilingual — French and English
- Strong working knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, and account reconciliation
- Experience with multi-currency / foreign exchange transactions
- Experience preparing books for external review or engagement
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
What Matters Most
We care more about demonstrated accounting expertise than credentials. A CPA designation is welcome, but candidates who know accounting deeply and can prove it through experience are equally encouraged to apply.
Pay: From $1,500.00 per week
