Overview
The Projects Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and successfully delivering strategic and operational projects across the organization. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, budget, and in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
The Projects Manager works collaboratively with cross-functional departments—including Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, Logistics, Information Technology (IT), Finance, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources—to coordinate resources, manage risks, and deliver measurable business results.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, results-driven professional with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. They must possess strong business acumen and technology savvy, be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities
1. Resource & Team Management
- Coordinate internal and external project resources.
- Monitor resource utilization and workload distribution.
- Ensure project teams have the necessary tools and support to achieve project objectives.
- Manage vendor and consultant relationships when required.
2. Financial & Budget Oversight
- Develop project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor project expenditures.
- Ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
- Prepare financial reports and variance analyses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
3. Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify project risks and potential obstacles.
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Escalate significant issues to senior management with recommended solutions.
4. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership.
- Prepare executive reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain detailed meeting documentation.
- Ensure transparent communication regarding project progress and risks.
5. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate existing project management processes.
- Recommend improvements that increase efficiency and productivity.
- Standardize project documentation and reporting practices.
- Promote continuous improvement across the organization.
6. Technology & IT Collaboration
- Coordinate technology-related initiatives alongside the IT department.
- Support ERP implementations, software upgrades, automation initiatives, and digital transformation projects.
- Ensure technology projects align with business requirements and operational objectives.
7. Compliance & Project Administration
- Maintain complete project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Track project approvals, change requests, and project records.
- Maintain accurate project schedules and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Desire Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience managing projects in a corporate environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple simultaneous projects.
- Experience within manufacturing and / or distribution industries is considered an asset.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) designation is an asset.
- Knowledge of Information Technology and business systems is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

- Project Management & Organization: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies with excellent planning, execution, and documentation skills to successfully manage multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines.
- Business Acumen & Strategic Alignment: Ability to align project objectives with corporate strategy, balancing operational needs and financial performance by using data to evaluate ROI and drive sound business decisions.
- Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Results-oriented leader capable of guiding cross-functional teams without direct authority, demonstrating strong coaching, conflict resolution, and effective decision-making under pressure.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to build and manage professional relationships.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Expertise: Critical thinker with strong analytical skills applied to proactive risk assessment, financial and budget management, and driving continuous process improvement.
- Technical Skills (Asset): Familiarity with IT and business tools, including ERP systems, Microsoft 365 (Project, Power BI), project management software, BI/reporting tools, and workflow automation platforms.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction across all departments.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines or support critical business initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
