Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our Sheetmetal manufacturing/fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding metal components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting components.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment and related fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
- Follow workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and production targets.
Qualifications
- Wages according to MIG/TIG welding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
