Responsibilities
In this role, you will perform industrial cleaning using hot wash, high-pressure systems, and vacuum trucks while safely lifting up to 50 lbs to set up and control hoses and shovel waste materials when required. You will represent the company by delivering professional customer service and will actively participate in monthly safety meetings and daily toolbox talks. A key part of your responsibilities includes identifying and immediately reporting any workplace injuries, incidents, or potential hazards to your supervisor. You will complete a variety of assigned tasks at different job sites, always adhering to environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment through daily housekeeping is expected, along with contributing ideas and recommendations to improve company policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with both coworkers and customers. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a consistent health and safety mindset are essential for success in this role, along with the ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team. For full-time positions, a valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are required.
