Reporting to North Zone Population and Public Health Area Manager, the Administrative Support III is the initial contact for community health clients and provides ongoing support in the framework of a positive lifetime relationship with public health. Familiarity and knowledge of Connect Care is essential as all bookings are managed through this electronic medical record. The Administrative Support III is responsible for performing reception, registration, and appointment booking functions; operating the switchboard, maintaining health records and processing care visit documentation; maintaining integrity of health records databases. Other clerical duties to support a range of programs and services provided in the Public Health Centre. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, PCA currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Certificate or diploma in Office Administration or equivalent training. Minimum one year of related office experience. Strong typing and word processing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Connect Care. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dynamic work environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and support staff schedules. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams while maintaining professional working relationships. Experience in Healthcare and Public Health is preferred.
