Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Sales Supervisor to lead and manage our retail store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, supervising sales staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. Bilingual skills and proficiency in merchandising, POS systems, and marketing are highly valued. The Retail Sales Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment, implementing sales strategies, and maintaining operational excellence to meet business goals.
Duties
- Supervise and motivate retail sales staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Recruit, interview, and train new team members to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
- Oversee daily store operations including cash handling, cashiering, pricing, and merchandising
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and record keeping
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase store traffic and sales performance
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with purchasing decisions, and coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide training & development opportunities, and address performance issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and store procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth; adjust strategies accordingly
- Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as organizational skills, time management, and effective communication
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or sales management roles with supervising experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll, and budgeting
- Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with POS systems, merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives
- Demonstrated ability in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and financial recordkeeping
- Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Knowledge of retail store operations including store management practices, sales techniques, and promotional activities
