Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Dental Office Administrator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily office operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental management software, and a solid understanding of dental and medical terminology. Prior experience in dental or medical office administration is required. The Dental Office Administrator will play a vital role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions to deliver exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and rescheduling to optimize office efficiency
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using dental software systems
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claims processing to ensure timely reimbursements
- Oversee human resources functions including staff scheduling, training, and performance supervision
- Coordinate communication between patients, staff, and healthcare providers to facilitate seamless operations
- Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders as needed to ensure smooth workflow
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and safety standards
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and managing financial records
Experience
- Proven experience in a dental office environment or medical office setting is required
- Familiarity with Curve or other dental management software is essential
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and medical terminology is highly desirable
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in healthcare settings is preferred
- Experience with human resources functions such as staff supervision and training is a plus
- Background in hospital or nursing environments involving acute care can be advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively are essential for success in this role
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
