Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs, aid in machine set up and managing both production and quality. The CNC Programmer will collaborate with engineers and operators to deliver high-quality products that meet strict specifications and standards.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize CNC programs for both milling and turning
- Program mainly 3 axis. Knowledge of 5 axis is a plus.
- Day-to-day set up and machining of parts according to drawing specifications
- Select cutting tools and determine optimal feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.
- Design fixtures, jigs, and setup methods to support efficient machining.
- Develop clear and accurate setup sheets, tool lists, and production documentation.
- Verify CNC programs for safety, quality, and manufacturability.
- Perform quality checks according to company ISO process.
- Interpret engineering drawings and translate specifications into machining operations.
Skills
- Minimum 5 years CNC programming experience
- Strong knowledge of G code and machining
- Must be familiar with both milling and turning
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience with multi axis CNC machines is an asset
- Strong problem solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills in English.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
