Overview
Janico Investments Ltd is a wholesale fuel and lubricant distributor for Petro-Canada (Suncor) as well as commercial cardlock operator with locations in Winnipeg and surrounding communities. Janico is an affiliated company as part of The Kennedy Group of Companies.
We currently have a management opportunity for a highly dedicated and conscientious individual who is customer-focused and safety-oriented for the role as Cardlock/Convenience Store(C-Store) Manager for our new location on 500 Oak Point Highway.
The primary duties and responsibilities include:
Convenience Store Operations
· Oversee all day-to-day C-store operations including merchandising and inventory.
· Maintain cleanliness of C-Store, showers, and washrooms
· Manage product ordering, receiving, and rotation.
· Ensure pricing accuracy and promotional execution.
· Maintain high standards for store presentation and customer experience.
Fuel Operations & Reconciliation
· Perform daily fuel reconciliation (sales vs tank readings)
· Investigate fuel variances and discrepancies
· Maintain accurate inventory records and logs.
· Verify bulk fuel deliveries and documentation.
· Adherent to prudent operation guidelines
Commercial & Fleet Customer Focus
· Provide highest level of customer service.
· Ensure all aspects of the cardlock site are in good working order and clean.
Financial Management
· Manage daily cash handling and POS reconciliation.
· Maintain files and records as per company policy
Leadership & Team Development
· Hire, train, and supervise and schedule staff.
· Promote a safety-first, customer-focused culture.
· Assign work tasks to staff and monitor performance.
Qualifications
· 3+ years’ experience in convenience retail management
· 2+ years in Fuel and Cardlock Management considered an asset
· Strong understanding of merchandising and inventory management
· Proven leadership and organizational skills
· Strong team building and supervisory oversight capability
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
