Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Mechanic Helper to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will assist experienced mechanics with various tasks, learn essential skills, and contribute to the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery. Prior mechanical knowledge is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate eager to develop their skills. This position is paid and suitable for individuals interested in building a career in the mechanical or industrial field.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced mechanics with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of equipment and machinery
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision
- Support in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing basic troubleshooting
- Help with parts replacement, lubrication, and cleaning of machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times during work activities
- Learn to read technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders to support maintenance tasks
Experience
- Diesel experience is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools and power tools is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Prior experience working with tools or in a mechanical environment is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to safety guidelines
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude are highly valued
