As our project portfolio continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to join our Edmonton team.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will support Project Managers and Site Supervisors in the planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects. This role is ideal for an individual looking to develop a long-term career in project management within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Coordinate procurement activities and track material deliveries.
- Monitor project schedules and assist with updating progress reports.
- Maintain project files and document control systems.
- Support tendering and bid solicitation activities.
- Coordinate communication between owners, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Assist with permit applications, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
- Track project costs, invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
- Prepare monthly project status reports and closeout documentation.
- Support health and safety documentation and compliance requirements.
- Attend project meetings and site visits as required.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in construction project coordination or administration.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, or multi-residential construction is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
