Job Overview
We are expanding and seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Conveyancer to join our team.
Duties
- Manage residential conveyancing files end-to-end: purchases, sales, refinances, and transfers
- Open files, conduct and review title searches, and identify and resolve title issues
- Draft transfers/deeds, statements of adjustments, and full closing document packages
- Order and review mortgage payout statements, tax certificates, status certificates, and related searches
- Prepare and submit electronic registrations
- Liaise with clients, lenders, opposing counsel, real estate agents, and lending institutions
- Manage closing funds, trust accounting entries, and disbursements in coordination with accounting
- Track and calendar all critical dates and conditions to ensure nothing is missed
- Prepare reporting letters and handle post-closing follow-up and discharges
Requirements
- Minimum [3–5+] years of hands-on real estate conveyancing experience in Alberta
- Strong working knowledge of the Alberta conveyancing process from contract to post-closing
- Proficiency with LDD (LawyerDoneDeal / Unity) for closings and electronic registration
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and file management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable as a primary point of contact for clients
- Ability to manage a high volume of files and prioritize competing deadlines independently
- A diploma or certification as a Law Clerk / Conveyancer is an asset
Assets (not required)
- Experience with Clio practice management software (If you have experience with Clio, please mention in application).
- Commercial real estate experience
