Job Overview
We are URGENTLY seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Painter/Labourer to join our team. This role involves performing residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, as well as assisting with various tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, clean appearance, be reliable and have the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and taping as needed
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes to various surfaces using hand tools and power tools
- Perform ladder work at heights with a steady hand
- Assist with rigging and scaffolding setup to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely
- Perform minor drywall repairs as needed
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during projects
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all team members
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
- Manage time efficiently to complete projects within designated deadlines
- Support restoration projects by preparing surfaces and applying appropriate finishes
Requirements
- Prior painting experience is preferred, especially in residential, commercial, or industrial painting but training can be provided to the right candidate
- Be reliable, trustworthy and a self-starter
- Have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license to get from job to job yet be willing to carpool to out-of-town jobs.
- Ability to maintain a steady hand while working at heights on a ladder
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and attitude
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
