Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our privately owned dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as Tracker, as well as familiarity with surgical procedures, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments for patient procedures
- Assist the dentist during various dental treatments
- Take dental radiographs using advanced technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such Tracker
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/out processes
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Ensure high level of professionalism and excellent patient care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred
- A compassionate attitude with a focus on patient comfort and care
- Certification from a Canadian accredited dental assistant program
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
