The Job Shoppe is hiring On Demand General Labour Associates to join our team in Lakeshore and Essex, Ontario. Location: Lakeshore and Essex, Ontario
Wage: $17.60 per hour
Start Date: Hiring immediately, with various start dates available
Position Type: Part Time, On Demand, some full time shifts may be available
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00 pm to 1:00 am
Candidates must be available for at least one consistent shift schedule. These are straight shifts and do not require rotation between days and afternoons.
What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):
On Demand General Labour Associates support production operations based on changing client needs. Shift frequency may vary from one to five shifts per week based on production requirements and individual availability.
Responsibilities may include:
- Performing visual quality inspections of products and components
- Identifying and reporting defects or quality concerns
- Packaging, labelling, sorting, and preparing finished products
- Completing light assembly tasks according to work instructions
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Lifting and handling products and materials throughout the shift
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation
- Following workplace safety procedures and production instructions
- Meeting productivity and quality expectations
- Using a scheduling application to review and accept available shifts
- Completing other general labour duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Must be available Monday through Friday
- A minimum of three weekdays of availability is required
- Ability to work between one and five shifts per week based on production needs
- Availability to accept shifts on short notice
- Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
- Comfortable using a mobile scheduling application
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
- Comfortable with frequent heavy lifting and physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation to Lakeshore and Essex is required, as the locations are not accessible by public transit

- Standing, bending, lifting, and carrying materials
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for the full shift
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to safely complete frequent heavy lifting throughout the shift
