Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate manual lathe and mill machines, and utilize various hand and power tools to produce precision metal hydraulic components. This role requires manual machining and hydraulic component knowledge. The Metal Machinist will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of machined parts used in our refurbished hydraulics products.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes and mills to produce and repair hydraulic components
- Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and perform changeovers efficiently
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times
- Assist with assembly processes as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other manufacturing tools
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Operate forklifts when necessary for material handling
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow
- Ability to operate forklifts safely for material movement
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively
Concord Hydraulics is an established hydraulic repair company that’s been serving the community since 1975. We are a close knit team that emphasizes quality work and safety. Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
