Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Travel Nurse to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to quickly integrate into new environments. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse locations, gaining broad experience in acute care, pediatrics, senior care, and specialized nursing fields. Candidates with experience in hospital settings, medical terminology, medication administration, and familiarity with electronic health records such as Epic and Cerner are highly valued. The Travel Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient care across multiple healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care settings.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess conditions, and document findings using electronic health records systems like Epic and Cerner.
- Assist with pain management, case management, and patient education tailored to individual needs.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory specimen collection when required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Support patients of all ages, including pediatrics, seniors with dementia or chronic conditions, and those requiring specialized senior or dementia care.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards while adapting to different facility policies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and medical office procedures as needed for documentation and communication.
Experience
- Proven hospital experience with a strong background in acute care settings.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, seniors, or patients requiring specialized care such as dementia or pain management.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred.
- Background in case management, medication administration, phlebotomy, or laboratory procedures is advantageous.
- Prior experience in home care or medical office environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience working with children or elderly patients enhances candidacy.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments while maintaining high standards of patient care. Pay: From $80.00 per hour
