Wage: $23 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
We are looking for a reliable Landscape Installers with 2-3 years of hands-on experience to join our team of professionals. APS Landscaping Inc is a high quality, detailed oriented landscaping contractor in the Edmonton region that focuses on residential, commercial landscaping plus design/build.
Technical Requirements:
- Site Preparation & Grading — Reading basic plans or grades, final grading, spreading topsoil, and achieving proper drainage slopes.
- Softscaping — Planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals; laying sod; seeding; mulching.
- Material Handling — Loading/unloading and transporting heavy materials (soil, sod, pavers, rocks) efficiently.
- Tool & Equipment Use — Safe operation of hand tools, power tools, plate compactors, and small machinery.
- Hardscaping — Installing interlocking
- Skid Steer Operation — Proficient and safe use of a skid steer loader with various attachments (bucket, grapple, auger, tiller, etc.). This includes grading, moving soil/topsoil, excavating, spreading materials, and working in tight spaces. (Not necessary for entry level installers)
- 2-3 years of landscape installation experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (mandatory).
Physical & Safety Skills:
- Good physical fitness — Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather (cold springs, heat, rain).
- Strong safety awareness — Following WHMIS, PPE use, equipment safety protocols, and site hazard recognition (especially important when operating heavy machinery like a skid steer).
