JOB TITLE: Specialist, Total Rewards
POSITION STATUS: Permanent
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
LOCATION: Montreal
REPORTING MANAGER: Manager, Wellness and Employee Benefits
The Total Rewards Specialist supports the design, administration, and continuous improvement of programs that enhance the employee experience and reinforce the organization's total rewards strategy. This role is responsible for managing rewards and recognition programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, customer-focused, and passionate about creating programs that attract, engage, and retain talent.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Employee Recognition
Administer and enhance the company's employee recognition programs to drive engagement and reinforce organizational values.
Manage recognition platforms, communications, reporting, and program effectiveness.
Coordinate recognition campaigns, service awards, milestone celebrations, and special recognition initiatives.
Analyze participation and engagement metrics and recommend program improvements.
Travel Program
- Serve as the primary administrator for the company's employee travel programs.
- Monitor travel policy adherence and assist with travel-related communications and employee support.
- Review travel programs data and identify opportunities to improve employee experience and optimize costs.
Senior Leader Programs
- Coordinate programs supporting senior leaders, including executive, rewards, events, and special initiatives.
- Ensure confidentiality while handling sensitive information related to executive rewards and recognition.
- Support the planning and execution of leadership appreciation and engagement initiatives.
- Compensation Support
- Assist with annual compensation activities, including salary planning, merit increases, incentive administration, and market pricing.
- Support job evaluations and salary benchmarking.
- Maintain compensation data and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations to support compensation decisions.
- Assist with compliance related to compensation practices and pay equity initiatives.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, Recognition, or a related area.
- Experience administering employee recognition and/or corporate programs is preferred.
- Exposure to compensation practices and salary administration is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS systems.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Bilingual (English and French)
