Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate MUST live the County of Brant or Norfolk County. The candidate will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the operational readiness of tow trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle recovery procedures, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle various roadside situations professionally.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls and service requests.
- Inspect tow trucks regularly to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist with vehicle repairs or minor mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients and ensuring their needs are met professionally.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including time, location, and vehicle details.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate equipment.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicles and towing equipment.
- Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating vehicles.
- Customer service skills to handle clients courteously and professionally.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in roadside situations.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
