Overview
We are seeking a construction site superintendent experienced in large commercial construction projects throughout the Niagara Region and beyond.
Duties
- In-depth understanding, knowledge and implementation of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act as it relates to each project
- Scheduling of all on-site activity with subcontractors and suppliers to effectively manage each project
- Ability to read and understand project documentation, including specifications and project drawings
- Ability to navigate basic computer programs, email and construction applications such as MS Project, Procore & Salus
- Ability to effectively communicate orally with all members of the construction team as well as effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proactive in all aspects of construction requirements including adapting to changes as they apply to each project
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Effective team leader
- Highly organized and with the ability to prioritize required tasks on a day-to-day basis
- Ability to lead in high-pressure situations
- Manage day-to-day labour requirements
Experience
- 5 years as a Site Superintendent is preferred
