Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential properties, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, surface preparation, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment. Prior experience in construction or related trades is preferred, along with a solid knowledge of various tools and materials used in painting projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Follow blueprints, schematics, or construction drawings to ensure accurate application of finishes
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface repairs or modifications as needed
- Assist with related construction tasks such as cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, or masonry work when required
- Operate heavy equipment or machinery if necessary for large-scale projects
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and project specifications
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking, and surface preparation techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating and carpentry fundamentals
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required
- Skilled in various finishing techniques including restoration and concrete finishing
- Familiarity with electrical experience, plumbing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete forming is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed schematics and instructions
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
