Duties include and are not limited to:
- working in a certified heavy-duty shop
- Inspect tanks and tank trailer systems and components to diagnose and isolate repairs required. B620, CVIP, other provincial standards as necessary.
- Repair, adjust, replace parts of truck trailer systems including trailer electrical components, trailer frames, hitches, landing gear assemblies, tires, suspensions and components, hydraulic systems.
- May be required to service other specialized repair equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Advise supervisors on work performed, general trailer condition and future repair requirements.
- working in a certified heavy duty shop
- working inside tanks and tanker trailers
- working at heights
- testing tanks
- maintenance and repair of valves
- maintenance, repair and programming of electronic tank monitoring equipment
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 driver's licenses considered an asset
The ideal Candidate will possess:
- Tank Trailer experience (Not required but considered an asset)
- Their own tools and toolbox
- attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- an understanding of safety and OH&S requirements
- ability to perform manual labor
- reliable transportation
