Job Overview
Guru Nanak Motors Group Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Local Truck Dispatcher to join our growing transportation team. This is a commission-based opportunity for an individual who can source local transportation work, coordinate daily operations, and build strong relationships with customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispatching drivers, planning efficient routes, and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Responsibilities
- Source and secure local transportation work within the GTA.
- Dispatch drivers and coordinate daily pickups and deliveries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and brokers.
- Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity and minimize empty miles.
- Monitor shipments and provide updates to customers and drivers.
- Resolve dispatch, scheduling, and delivery issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation.
- Ensure timely communication with drivers and customers.
- Help grow the company’s customer base and daily revenue.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Truck Dispatcher is required.
- Experience dispatching local GTA deliveries is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience using dispatch software or load management systems.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
