Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Installer/Technician to join our outdoor maintenance and installation team. This role involves executing a variety of landscaping projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor work, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment to deliver high-quality results. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in landscape construction, lawn care, and garden maintenance within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain landscape features such as hardscape elements, planting beds, and irrigation systems
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilization
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for planting, excavation, and construction projects
- Use equipment such as excavators for large-scale site work and tree care machinery for pruning or removal
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including tree trimming, snow plowing (seasonal), and general garden upkeep
- Assist with the installation of irrigation systems and other horticultural projects
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards on job sites by properly handling tools and disposing of debris
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to client specifications
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools
- Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening practices
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and tree care techniques
- Ability to operate machinery like snow plows during seasonal requirements
- Strong understanding of landscaping design principles including hardscape installation
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks
