Maintenance Technician (Part-Time/Full-Time)
Location: Kingston, ON
Pay: $26/hour
Schedule: Part-Time/Full-time (weekdays, weekends & on-call rotation required)
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our growing property portfolio. This role works closely with our Maintenance Manager and supports day-to-day maintenance across a mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality properties, with a primary focus on hotel rooms and spa mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in preventative maintenance, responds calmly to issues as they arise, and understands that well-maintained spaces are essential to guest experience and tenant satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Complete daily, weekly, and preventative maintenance tasks across the portfolio
- Support mechanical systems related to spa operations (pools, pumps, filtration, HVAC, etc.)
- Maintain hotel rooms to a high standard, including repairs, inspections, and turnover readiness
- Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently
- Participate in an on-call duty rotation to respond to urgent maintenance issues outside regular hours
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and fixture repairs
- Work alongside external contractors when required
- Conduct regular inspections and flag issues before they become problems
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized and safe manner
- Follow health & safety standards and internal maintenance procedure
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in maintenance, building operations, or facilities management
- Comfortable working across multiple property types
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while taking direction from the Maintenance Manager
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and working in mechanical spaces
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and on-call rotation
- Valid 'G' driver’s license
