Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and supporting various operational tasks within our coffee shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all customers.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages using standard recipes and equipment.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Assist with food preparation and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food safety practices and sanitation procedures.
- Support serving duties during busy periods, including taking orders at the counter or via drive-thru if applicable.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Uphold food safety standards in all aspects of food service and preparation.
- May also help out in the back making Sandwiches as needed.
Skills
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
