The Junior Marketing Coordinator is responsible for helping bring the zu brand to life. This role supports the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, engage our audience, and support business growth.
The successful candidate will become an ambassador for the zu brand, understanding our voice, culture, and the unique qualities that set us apart. They will work closely with every department to understand their goals, transform ideas into cohesive marketing campaigns, and help ensure all communications reflect a consistent and authentic brand identity.
Responsibilities
- Create a cohesive marketing plan that connects all departments in zu using the same voice and goals throughout the company
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns that will encompass the entire needs and goals of the organization
- Utilize company resources effectively and efficiently to achieve marketing objectives
- Conduct market, consumer, and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and insights that support strategic marketing decisions
- Build and maintain a positive company image through skilled communication with public interest groups, clients and community members
- Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email, advertising, events, content marketing, and community engagement
- Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
- Understand how data can be used as a driving force for future marketing planning
- Proactively understand marketing and media trends to sustain zu’s relevance and unique brand
- Help maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing digital assets, maintaining marketing calendars, and keeping internal tools up to date
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience as a marketing specialist or similar role
- Thorough understanding of online and offline marketing elements and market research methods
- Solid understanding of social platforms and how they are used for marketing purposes
- Familiarity with marketing analytics and reporting tools
- Solid computer skills, including google suite, marketing software and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.) Photoshop and Adobe XD is a desirable asset
- Knowledge of digital strategy, web design and web development tools desired
- Well-organized and detail oriented and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Exceptional people skills
- Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
- B.Comm or certificate in marketing, communications or equivalent
Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
