Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting warehouse distribution operations, handling heavy equipment, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. Ideal candidates will have prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of heavy machinery such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes. The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in maintaining smooth shipping and receiving processes, inventory management, and ensuring safety standards are upheld throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of goods
- Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and timely
- Maintain inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks and organize products for storage or shipment
- Support manufacturing processes by handling raw materials or finished goods as needed
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with construction or maintenance tasks involving heavy equipment operation when required
- Contribute to warehouse organization by maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of items
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred, especially in warehouse distribution or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar software for inventory control
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Construction experience or familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and protocols
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
