Job Description: We are now hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established organization within the heavy machinery manufacturing industry for an operationally focused Corporate Controller to lead finance operations across a multi-site production environment.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving financial accuracy, operational performance, and strategic decision-making across multiple facilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening financial processes, enhancing cost visibility, and supporting business growth.
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Corporate Controller will oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and compliance across multiple manufacturing sites. This role also provides leadership to the AP/AR functions and partners closely with operations to improve efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Control
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Consolidate financial results across multiple manufacturing locations
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
- Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
- Analyze production costs, labour efficiency, and material utilization
- Collaborate with plant leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve performance
- Support pricing decisions through detailed margin and cost analysis
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process across all sites
- Develop rolling forecasts and financial models to support strategic planning
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide actionable variance analysis
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Provide leadership and oversight to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting processes, and controls
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and senior leadership to support business objectives
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Valid CPA/designated candidates are highly preferred
· Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience, ideally within a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment
· Strong background in multi-site or complex operations is highly preferred
· Strong computer proficiency and experience with manufacturing ERP systems and automated AP tools
