Gunnell Engineering, a small to medium-sized engineering firm specializing in onsite wastewater and rural servicing, is looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager (Intermediate) to join our growing team. The Project Manager will assist and support the company’s professionals on a variety of projects.
Primary Job Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and managing day-to-day and weekly project tasks
- Ensuring project schedules, deadlines, and budgets are organized, communicated and met
- Preparation of proposals, including project resourcing, comprehensive and realistic scope of work, complete and accurate fee estimate, in a format suitable for obtaining the required management approvals
- Review design drawings, specifications and other project documentation for compliance, completeness, and coordination;
- Working closely with staff at all levels to ensure project efficiency
- Assist with projects from concept through to completion, including but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, report writing, contract preparation and administration, problem solving, site meetings, site inspections, commissioning, and closeout.
- Collaborate and coordinate work with all stakeholders on a given project including, regulatory bodies, related engineering disciplines, environmental and planning consultants, clients, contractors, and sub-consultants.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and key stakeholders regarding all aspects of the project, and proactively resolve issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Five (5) years of experience within the rural land development / sewage / wastewater / water industry, preferably in Ontario.
- Accreditation from a recognized Canadian civil engineering, environmental technology, or related technology or equivalent program.
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills to effectively express technical information to multiple audiences, including government regulators, subcontractors, field staff, clients, colleagues, etc.
- Strong understanding of planning and engineering concepts related to rural site development
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (specifically Excel, Word and Project).
- Detail-oriented, personable, assertive, disciplined, self-motivated, reliable.
- Have a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for task completion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and progress multiple projects as required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and within established guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
