Part-Time Human Resources / Payroll Administrator & Property Coordinator

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (20 hours/week)
Pay: $25.00–$29.00 per hour

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable professional to join our team in a dual-role position supporting both Human Resources / Payroll Administration and Property Operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day, and is comfortable balancing employee support, payroll accuracy, tenant relations, and property accounting responsibilities. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a collaborative team and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations.
Human Resources / Payroll Administrator
The Human Resources / Payroll Administrator manages personnel records, supports employee lifecycle activities, administers payroll processes, and serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
Responsibilities -Human Resources Administration
- Maintain and update employee records, employment contracts, and HR databases
- Support recruitment through job postings, interview scheduling, and background check coordination
- Coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding, including new hire documentation, orientation, and exit paperwork
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all employee-related records
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now
- Verify time sheets, attendance records, and payroll inputs
- Calculate gross/net pay, overtime, vacation pay, and statutory deductions
- Prepare and file WCB and Employer Health Tax (EHT) submissions
- Ensure compliance with CRA payroll regulations and applicable legislation
- Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies, and prepare year-end T4s
- Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, deductions, and benefits
Qualifications & Skills
- 1–2 years of payroll and/or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, payroll taxes, and the BC Employment Standards Act
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Sage 300 considered an asset
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information professionally
Property Operations Coordinator
The Property Operations Coordinator manages the end-to-end tenant receivables cycle and supports operational excellence through billing, collections, reconciliations, and tenant communications.
Responsibilities -Billing & Invoicing
- Generate and distribute monthly rent charges, utility billings, and parking fees
- Process pre-authorized payments, credit memos, chargebacks, and security deposit adjustments
- Maintain recurring charges and lease-related account changes
Collections & Arrears Management
- Monitor tenant accounts and perform regular arrears reviews
- Contact tenants regarding overdue balances
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and NSF transactions
- Escalate serious delinquencies to Property Management as required
Ledger Reconciliation & Reporting
- Complete accurate month-end and year-end accounts receivable procedures
- Reconcile tenant ledgers and resolve account variances
- Apply cash receipts including EFTs, e-transfers, and cheque payments
- Prepare aged receivables and other financial reports
Tenant Relations & Compliance
- Serve as the primary contact for tenant account inquiries
- Support property management communications and administrative follow-up
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and relevant legislation
Qualifications & Skills
- 1–2 years of accounts receivable, property accounting, or residential/commercial property administration experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and tact
