- The Opportunity: Most traditional repair shops want you to beat the flat-rate clock just to line their pockets. We are building something completely different from the ground up. Apex Automotive Collective is currently a lean, bootstrapped startup with an aggressive roadmap to become Parksville’s premier workspace for serious builders and enthusiasts. We are seeking a highly skilled, Red Seal Certified Automotive Technician to operate as our Lead Technical Partner. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor. You can build your own book of business with zero commercial lease overhead, while partnering with a facility that is reinvesting every dollar back into its growth.
- How the Partnership Works: Run Your Own Business: You get dedicated access to the shop to run your own full-service clients. You retain the vast majority of your labor revenue and 100% of your parts margins.
- The "Rescue Rate": As we scale our membership-based DIY model, amateur wrenchers will inevitably get stuck on a diagnostic fault or a sheared bolt. You are the safety net. You step in to resolve the issue at a premium, high-margin "Rescue Rate" for your time.
- Growing Together: As our exclusive membership base scales, it acts as an immediate, built-in pipeline of serious, vehicle-invested clients for your full-service repairs. The goal here is mutual success that removes the need for you to invest and bear the risk of starting your own shop, providing minimal downside and maximum upside based entirely on your knowledge and expertise!
- Where We Are At & What We Provide: We are a minimalist operation right now, aggressively reinvesting our cash flow to expand our capabilities. The aim here is to expand into a franchise with multiple locations, so opportunities to get in at the ground level may provide growing business opportunities in the future. Access to our commercial wholesale parts accounts. An environment that respects your time, tools, and expertise, entirely free from dealership politics.
- Who You Are: Certified & Equipped: You hold a valid BC Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification. You own your own specialized diagnostic scanners and primary professional hand tools. Platform Expert: You excel at computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and complex mechanical repairs across modern enthusiast platforms (particularly European/BMW, JDM, and Domestic). Gritty & Entrepreneurial: You are organized, articulate, and comfortable operating in a developing shop environment. You see the long-term vision, are tired of the standard dealership grind, and are ready to be your own boss.
