Remote HVAC Bookkeeper (5+ Years HVAC/trades Experience Required)
Location: Remote (Ontario Preferred)
Job Type: Part-Time
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or fixed monthly fee based on experience.
Contrast Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd. is a growing commercial HVAC contractor serving the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Bookkeeper with a strong background in HVAC/trades accounting/bookkeeping.
Please note: This position requires a minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience in the HVAC/trades industry. Applicants without this type of bookkeeping experience will not be considered.
Experience with Jonas Construction Software is a significant asset but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle Accounts Payable invoice entry
- Review and maintain Accounts Payable aging reports
- Process supplier payments
- Purchase Orders
- Bank & CC transactions and reconciliations
- General Ledger reconciliations
- Month-end financial reporting
- Maintain accurate accounting records
- Communicate with suppliers regarding invoices and payments
- Work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting
Required Qualifications
✔ Minimum 5 years of HVAC/trades bookkeeping experience (required)
✔ Strong understanding of:
- Accounts Payable
- Purchase Orders
- Work Orders
- Supplier payment processing
- A/P aging reports
- Bank and credit card transactions and reconciliations
- Month-end reporting
✔ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
✔ Excellent organizational and time management skills
✔ Strong communication skills
✔ Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
